Swindon Defender Ball Sidelined with Wrist Injury
What Went Down on the Field
Early in the second half of Saturday’s match, things took a bad turn for Swindon Town. Defender Ball suddenly fell to the ground, clutching his wrist in pain. Play was stopped, and he didn’t hang around—he walked straight off to the tunnel, looking really uncomfortable.
The Injury Moment
The problem started just after halftime when Ball jumped for a header with Crewe striker Adrien Thibaut near the dugouts. He landed awkwardly, going over the top and hitting his arm hard on the ground. Ouch!
Manager’s Update: Dislocation Suspected
After the game, manager Ian Holloway gave an update, and it’s not good news. He said it looks like Ball dislocated his wrist, which is a nasty injury. Holloway called it “horrible, absolutely horrible” for the team.
What a Dislocation Means
If Ball’s wrist is dislocated, there’s a good chance it’s also broken. That usually means surgery to fix it properly, so he could be out for a while.
Ball’s Bad Luck Continues
