Imagine waiting for a bus under a cracked shelter or squinting at a rusty timetable sign. In Wiltshire, those days are numbered! A huge upgrade is coming to make bus stops and shelters way better for everyone.
Major Makeover for Bus Stops Across Wiltshire
A company called Bus Shelters Ltd—experts in building and fixing bus shelters—has landed a big contract to revamp bus stops, shelters, and all the info signs across the county. This five-year project runs until 2030 and is backed by £2 million from the Department of Transport.
Who’s Doing the Work?
Bus Shelters Ltd, part of BSW Group, is in charge. They’ve helped other UK areas with similar projects and are pumped to tackle Wiltshire’s bus infrastructure.
What Needs Fixing?
Wiltshire has over 4,900 bus stops and around 800 shelters. These are looked after by different groups, including the council, bus companies, and local town
