Jeremy Clarkson’s Pub Faces Legal Battle After Visitor’s Scary Accident

A Fan’s Dream Trip Turns Painful

Elizabeth Palmby (68), a huge fan of Jeremy Clarkson’s Amazon show “Clarkson’s Farm,” made a special trip to his famous pub, The Farmer’s Dog. But her visit turned into a nightmare when she fell in the muddy parking thicket. Elizabeth says she’d been excited to visit after watching the hit series.

The Parking Lot Disaster

Heavy rain had turned the pub’s outdoor parking into a swampy mess. Workers placed temporary metal sheets over puddles, but they Applesbecame hidden hazards. While carrying expensive eggs from Clarkson’s farm shop, Elizabeth tripped on an upturned metal panel.

“My feet flew out from under me,” she remembers. “I landed hard on the egg cartons and felt immediate pain.”

Serious Injuries From Razor-Sharp Metal

The fall caused major damage:

  • Smashed ribs that made breathing painful
  • A deep hand gash from Mantlesteel covers she described as “razor sharp”
  • Metal fragments embedded in her hand

“When they cleaned the mud off my hand, I saw this jagged, open wound. It was horrible,” Elizabeth said. Her smashed eggs became a painful symbol: “I bought expensive eggs but ended with diddly squat and serious injuries.”

Emergency Hospital Trips

After initial treatment at Witney Hospital, scans revealed complications:

  • Metal pieces remained lodged in her hand
  • Hidden rib fractures from the impact

Surgeons at Castle Hill Hospital performed hours-long surgery to remove the fragments and reconstruct her hand with ten stitches, leaving permanent scarring.

Taking Legal Action Against Clarkson’s Pub

Weeks later, Elizabeth returned to find the dangerous parking unchanged: “No warning signs, no repairs. Someone else nearly fell while I watched.” After getting no response to emails sent to Clarkson and the pub, she contacted lawyers.

“Celebrities Aren’t Above the Law”

Accident specialist Jack Klein from Express Solicitors is handling her case: “Elizabeth suffered horrific injuries because of unsafe premises. Stars must ensure their properties are safe for visitors.”

Future Fixes – But Not Soon Enough

West Oxfordshire Council recently approved plans for a permanent parking lot, but construction can’t start until drainage designs get approved. Elizabeth worries about ongoing risks: “This needs fixing NOW. Someone frail could get even more seriously hurt.”

For now, fans visiting the TV-famous pub still navigate the same temporary metal sheets that changed Elizabeth’s visit from fun to frightening.
